This was the mausoleum of the Harding Jackson Family from its building in 1840 until the sale of Belle Meade Plantation in 1904. The individuals buried here were relocated to Mount Olivet Cemetery in Nashville in 1906. It may be viewed at Belle Meade daily and is a beautiful example of a classic 19th century underground family burying vault.
