HUNTSVILLE – Services for Vaudine Bartee, 79, of Huntsville were held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2007, at the Brooke Funeral Home Chapel in Huntsville with Pastor Jim Parrish officiating.
Burial will follow at Black Jack Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 10, at the funeral home located at 672 FM 980.
Mrs. Bartee died Saturday, June 2, in a local hospital.
She was born May 1, 1928, in West Sandy, the daughter of Silas and Pearl Harding. She was married to Wilburn Bartee on Dec. 12, 1945 and during the early years of their marriage they loved to dance.
Mrs. Bartee enjoyed working in the garden, cooking late into the night and hunting.
She was preceded in death by her husband in August 2000; her parents; and a brother, Quincy Edward Harding.
Survivors include a son and his spouse, Kenneth and Gina Bartee of Huntsville; two granddaughters, De'Amdra Bartee of Riverside and Cassandra Bartee of Spring; three great-grandchildren, Rebecca Chambers, Gracie Bartee Thompson and Kennlei Bartee.
Brooke Funeral Home of Huntsville directed the arrangements.
