Maxine E Harding, 58, 2612 S. Magnolia St., died Sunday in a Sioux City hospital of cancer after a seven month illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. Ross Lokken will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7 p.m. in the Christy Morningside Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harding, the former Maxine Robinson, was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Bloomfield, Neb. She came to Iowa in 1931 and lived east of the Leeds area for 10 years. she married Waldon Harding March 23, 1946, in Sioux City. They lived in the Akron, Iowa area from 1957 until March 1983 when they returned to Sioux City. She was a bookkeeper at Morningside Manor at Alcester, S.D.
Mrs. Harding was a member of the United Methodist Church while living in Akron and was attending Bethel Baptist Church in Sioux City.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Steven of Sioux City; two Daughters, Mrs. Gary (Diana) Beaubien of Sioux city and Debra of Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Wayne (Wanda) McCrill of Akron and Mrs. Ted (Ruby) Towler of Los Altos, Calif.; two brothers, Gale of Jefferson, S.D. and Vernon of LeMars, Iowa, and four grandchildren.
