Mrs. Evelyn "EV" Flammang of Visalia passed away Saturday August 21, 2010 in Visalia at the age of 83. Mrs. Flammang was born to Jacob and Mary Harder. In 1946 she married the late Jack Flammang and together settled in Visalia. EV worked for Visalia Times Delta as a Dispatch Supervisor and Trouble Shooter for the Advertising Dept. before retiring in 1986.

EV's passion was golf, she was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing local courses, she held a 13 handicap, won many awards and according to her friends and opponents had a knack for bringing home the trophies. At home she had a passion for gardening, producing plump and delicious fruits and vegetables. She got great enjoyment from seeing her garden grow. She also had a love for animals and always had room for a stray dog and loved feeding the many birds nesting around her home. She was a supporter of many animals support organizations.

She is survived by a sister, Mary H. Wright of Exeter, Ca.; 2 nephews, Jim Wright (Cherie) of Columbus, NC; George Harder (Phyllis) of Yuba City, Ca.; 3 nieces, Sandy Masterman (David) of Exeter, Ca., Carol Iskenderian (Jim) of Visalia, Ca., Lynn Harder Douglas (Don) of Sun City, AZ; great niece, Alison Iskenderian of Capitola, Ca. and a great nephew, Ryan Iskenderian (Julie) of Visalia, Ca.

A graveside service will be held Saturday August 28, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Visalia District Cemetery.
