WAUTOMA – Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church for Mrs. Anna Caroline Hardel, 77, who died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Maynard.

The Rev. A. D. Laper will officiate and burial will be in Wautoma Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the Blader Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.

The former Anna Zuehlke, she was born Aug. 5, 1879 in the Town of Seneca, a daughter of William and Margaret Fickler Zuehlke. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Berlin, and was married to Reinhold Hardel on April 16, 1905.

They lived on a farm in the Town of Dakota, with the exception of four years when her husband was employed at Hartford. In 1918, they moved to a farm in the Town of Marion.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Arnold of Milwaukee, Hubert of Sheboygan Falls and Edward of Redgranite; two daughters, Mrs. Esther Keberle of Milwaukee and Mrs. Maynard; two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Davis of Hartford and Mrs. Elsie Gelhar of Berlin; one brother, Edward Zuehlke of Lohrville, and seven grandchildren.

Five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
