MRS. HENRIETTA HARBAUGH BALSLEY, wife of Harry M. Balsley, 705 Clayton avenue, died Friday night at 1 o'clock. She had been in ill health for several years with various ailments, and bed fast for a week past; but her condition then was not such as to excite any alarm on the part of the famiiy, fo that her death was sudden and unexpected. She would have been 55 years old on the 9th of next August. She was the last of her family.
Mrs. Balsley was the only daughter of John H. and Elizabeth (Eyler) Harbaugh, both deceased, and from birth here always resided, in Waynesboro, where she had many friends. Her father was a veteran of the Civil War, and long prominent in Grand Army circles.
Her only brother, Sheffer Harbaugh, died here some years ago. Besides her husband, she leaves a nephew, Ernest Harbaugh, of Rouzerville, and a niece, Mrs. Norman Peffley, of Greencastle. She was a member of Trinity Reformed church.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from the home. Rev. S. E. Lobath officiating and burial in Burns Hill cemetery. The body may be viewed Monday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
