David Lewis Harbach, 76, of Antes Fort died Friday, March 14, 2008, at Jersey Shore Hospital Emergency Room. He was born October 31, 1931, in Lock Haven the son of the late Harry Edward & Catherine Sarah (Englert) Harbach, Sr. David was married to the former Christine L. Biser on May 14, 1988. He worked for Piper Aircraft from 1955 until its closing and later worked for H.R.R. Thompson. He attended Antes Fort United Methodist Church. He enjoyed restoring Farmall tractors and was a member of Antes Fort Tractor Pullers Association. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a farmer, enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, cutting wood and raising his horses. Surviving are his loving wife, one son James (Lisa) Harbach of Loganton and three daughters Donna (Lance) Heller, Mt. Pleasant, SC, Karen (Lee) Shreckengast of Millheim, PA and Deanna (Patrick) Harmon of Loganton, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, four sisters Dolly Leigey of Karthaus, Betty Ruhl of Loganton, Shirley Renninger of S. Williamsport and Dorothy Laubach of Loganton. He was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Harry, Jr. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Antes Fort United Methodist Church with Rev. Thomas C. Jones officiating. The family requests that everyone joins them for a time of food and fellowship following the service. Memorial contributions can me made to the Antes Fort United Methodist Church P.O. 100, Antes Fort, PA 17720 Private burial will be at Mt. Union Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main Street, Jersey Shore.
