KINGSLEY - Joan L. Avery, 76, of Kingsley, died Wednesday at home.
Born June 25, 1925, in Traverse CHy, she was the daughter of Walter and Louise (Courier) Hansen. On Aug. 2, 1952, in Charlevoix, she married Raymond C. Avery, who survives.
Joan was a retired registered nurse and private pilot who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing golf and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Private graveside services have been held at Oakwood Cemetery.
