Harvey A. Hansen, age 95, of New Holstein formerly of Chilton, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at the Willowdale Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein.
He was born January 9, 1919, in New Holstein, a son of the late Harvey C. & Agatha O. (Schreiter) Hansen. Harvey attended New Holstein Public Schools.
On June 16, 1969, he married Leora Haeberle in Las Vegas, NV. Leora preceded him in death on March 23, 2007. Harvey had worked at the former Lauson Engines & Tecumseh Engines in New Holstein and at Giddings & Lewis in Fond du Lac until his retirement in 1972. Harvey was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Chilton and a member of the Masonic Fond du Lac Lodge #26 F & AM.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Gertrude Hansen of Kokomo, Indiana; nieces, nephews, other relatives; and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Harvey C. & Agatha O. Hansen; his wife, Leora; two brothers, Robert & Richard; and a sister, Jane Konz.
Private graveside services will be held at the New Holstein Cemetery. Memorials in Harvey’s name may be directed for the New Hope Center in Chilton.
