Beverly L. Hansen, 79, of Moline, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, at Trinity Medical Center, West, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:45 a.m. Friday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 11:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island, with the Rev. Robert Lee officiating. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a Christian wake service at 3 p.m. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to Association for Retarded Citizens of Rock Island County or Oncology Department at Trinity Medical Center.
The former Beverly Buckholtz was born April 21, 1926, in Moline, daughter of Louis and Mary Crispyn Buckholtz. She married Earl J. Hansen June 12, 1947, in Olathe, Kan. He preceded her in death July 19, 1962.
She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of VFW Moline Post 2153, former parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rock Island, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline, and former member of Friends Circle Club, Moline.
Survivors (and spouses) include her daughters, Dawn (Raymond) Ciocari, Lafayette Hill, Pa., Mary Lou (Robert) Zelsdorf, Davenport, Peggy Love, Rock Island, and Beverly Hansen, East Moline; sons, Steven (Marcy) Hansen, Rock Island, and Michael Hansen, Moline; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Charlene Van Lerberghe; and a son-in-law, Von Love.
