Daniel moved his family from Ontario, Canada to Michigan about 1880. By 1884 they were living in Washington Territory.
He was a farmer, justice of the peace, and a one time city councilman for Cle Elum.
From the Cle Elum, WA newspaper, at the time of Daniel's death:
"Daniel Hannon, one of the oldest and most respected pioneers of this city…."
