Ann E. Peterson of Binghamton, NY, and formerly of Sidney, died May 2, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by husbands Fred Hanni and Cecil Peterson; parents, Gladys and Roland Niles; brothers, Donald, Roland and Gerald and sisters, Janice Heslin and Phyllis Cutting.

Ann is survived by her sister, Rachel Holmes (Charles), sisters-in-law, Phyllis Niles and Geri Niles, and her step-son, Eric Peterson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews (Heslins, Niles, Cuttings and Holmes).

Ann graduated from Bainbridge High School and SUNY Delhi with a degree in accounting. She was a long term employee of Bendix Corp. where she was a draftsman and supervisor in the engineering department.

Family was very important to Ann, and in later years she moved to Binghamton to be closer to family in Binghamton and Elmira. She traveled extensively throughout the United States. Gardening was a particular interest and she delighted in sharing her knowledge about flowers and vegetables with her nieces and nephews.
