Mrs. Dulcie (Hann) Cogan, 87, of Dover, formerly of RD 1 Hopewell, died August 18, 1980 at the York Hospital following an extended illness. Born on January 18, 1893 in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Josiah and Mary Alice (Morgart) Hann. She married Chester R. Cogan who preceded her in death in May 1942. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one son, Henry. Surviving her were one sister, Miss Nita Hann, of Logan, WV; and the following children, Richard, of Tempe, AZ; Miriam Hanks, Dover, with whom Mrs. Cogan lived; Dean, Tempe, AZ; James, Hopewell RD; and Alan, Hagerstown. Also surviving her were 17 grandchildren, 18 greatgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cogan was a lifelong member and former Sunday school teacher of St. Paul's United Church of Christ (Reformed) of Yellow Creek. She taught school in Tatesville and later became a practical nurse at the Everett Hospital and Memorial Hospital of Bedford County. Friends were received on Thursday, August 21, 1980, at the service at St. Paul's church in Yellow Creek. Funeral arrangements were by the Jackson Funeral Home of York, PA.
