Sylvia Alice Burkstaller, 93, Venice, died Aug. 18, 2000.
She was born April 10, 1907, in Mississippi County, Miss., and came to Venice in 1991 from Cairo, Ill. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City, Ill.
Survivors include a son, David of Venice; four sisters, Dollie Walker of Mission Viejo, Calif., Ellen DeJarnett of Cairo, Lucille Fite of Mound City and Frances A. Swank of Venice; a brother, Bob Hanley of Wickliffe, Ky.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be in Mound City. Hawkins Funeral Home and Crematory, Sarasota, is in charge.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 517 Walnut St., Mound City, IL 62963.
