David was born in Spain on December 6th, 1968, while his father was stationed with the Air Force at Torrejon Air Base there. His family returned to Woburn when David was a young child, and he was raised and educated here, graduating from Woburn High School with the Class of 1986. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, but lifelong health difficulties prevented him from completing his education.
While in high school he was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America. David worked diligently to attain the rank of Eagle Scout. The project he completed to attain this honor was to build the playground near St. Anthony Church in North Woburn. During his high school years he was also a member of the wrestling team.
His interests included rock climbing and working with computers. He loved animals and nature, and was a craftsman in such areas as glass engraving. David loved life and most especially his family. To his younger brother Matthew he was not only a mentor but also a best friend.
