Mildred (Midge) Elizabeth Hand Davenport, 93 of Pennsville, passed away peacefully at her home early on the morning of February 27, 2016.

Born in Goshen NJ, Midge was the daughter of the late Rev. Charles T. Hand and Olive May Hand Cook.

Her many years gave her the opportunity to live life fully. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, golf, and card playing.

She was a long standing member of the First United Methodist Church in Deepwater. A member of the Deepwater United Methodist Women Local, also active in the prayer shawl group- crocheting prayer shawls and lap robes for those in need.

Family was an important part of Midge's life. Her children, grandchildren will never forget her quiet and loving ways.

She is survived by her beloved children, Larry Davenport (Barbara) of Carneys Point, NJ Daughter, Nancy L. Davenport Hadley, of Pennsville. Grandchildren: Donnie Eller (Dawn), Scott Eller, Schelly Talbot, Laurie Franklin (Jerry) , Nancy Callahan (Russell), April Lockwood, Terri Ward (Mike), Christine Sharp (Dan), Eric Hadley, Linda Mott (Garrison). Maureen, Joey, Jackie, Bobby, and Elise. 23 great grandchildren. Midge was predeceased by her husband Edward C. Davenport, Daughter Sandra T. Eller, and son Terry E, Davenport, Brothers, Thomas Hand, Charles Hand, and Clifton E. Hand. Father Rev. Charles T. Hand and Mother Olive May Hand Cook.

A Memorial service will be held at the Deepwater United Methodist Church Deepwater, NJ where friends may call prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown. Laughrey Funeral Home 1 No. Broadway Pennsville, NJ 08070
