William J. Hand, 77, died Sunday in Ossian Health Care Center. He retired from Dana Corporation in 1972 and was a retired farmer in Allen and Huntington Counties.
Surviving are his wife, Marie; four daughters, DeMarise J. Martin and Marsha S. Myers, Fort Wayne, Barbara K. Deetz of Ossian, and Shirley F. Gronski of Hamburg, N.Y.; four sons, Carroll L. and Billy D., Fort Wayne, Larry E. of Roanoke, and Jesse M. of LaOtto; two sisters, Ruth I. Waters of Woodburn, and Betty M. Britt of Markle; a brother, Kenneth E. of Fort Wayne; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services Tuesday in Elzey-Dickey-Haggard Funeral Home. Graveside services, Huntertown Cemetery.
