Beatrice Earl Garrett

Beatrice "Bea" Hancock Garrett, age 89, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010, at Colonial Hills Nursing Center.

She was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Mallie Hancock and husband, James Douglas Garrett, Sr.

Bea is survived by her son, James Douglas Garrett, Jr. and his wife, Ginger Garrett; sister and brother-in-law, Jonnie and Robert Hedrick; brother and sister-in-law, David and Diane Hancock; grandchildren, Sarah and Allie Garrett; and numerous extended family and close friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the loving staff at Colonial Hills Nursing Center.

Family and close friends will gather Wednesday, June 30 at 1:00 p.m. for the graveside service and interment at Grandview Cemetery, with Rev. R.M. Everett officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Bea's behalf to the American Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
