Born June 2, 1920, in Shade Township, the son of John and Elizabeth (Kozma)Hancharik. Proceeded in death by parents; wife, the former Susan Elko; brother John and sisters Mary, Verna and Elizabeth. Survived by daughters: Linda, wife of Gerald Hittie, New Wilmington; Joan, wife of Ted Garloski, Midland, Texas; grandsons, Joshua, Aaron, Alexander and Nicholas. Brother of Mike, Ann Koval and Joe, all of Cairnbrook; Helen Petkosh, Sidman; Andy, Windber, and Mary Doxey and Pauline Whitman, both of Johnstown. U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Retired UMWA miner.
