Marjorie Hammond Davis "Beloved Mother & Grandmother" Our beloved, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, sister-in-law and friend, Marjorie Hammond Davis passed away on December 5, 2003, at Salt Lake Regional Hospital. She was born June 17, 1922, in Grantsville, Utah, to Raymond and Roberta Green Hammond. She married John S. Davis, September 1, 1949. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2003. Marjorie had a special gift for playing the piano. She had her own dance band, "The Marge Davis Combo". She played for the Shingleton Orchestra. Her talent lifted the spirits of many people. She attended LDS Business College and upon graduation was immediately employed by the Western Pacific Railroad as a Secretary. Marjorie is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia Romney, stepson, Monte Davis, granddaughter, Heather Romney, sister-in-law, Laurel Hammond, 15 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on December 11, 2003, 12:00 Noon, at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St., Murray. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service. Interment Grantsville City Cemetery
