Lucille (Seivley) Taylor, 82, of El Dorado, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Leon Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at Carlson Funeral Home.

Lucille was born Feb. 2, 1925 at Leon, to Lonnie and Ethel (Knox) Hammer. She graduated from Leon High School in 1943 and from Kansas State College in 1947. She and Leland Seivley were married at the Leon Methodist Church on June 22, 1947.

She taught school in Leon before moving to Wichita, and then worked in the office of Cessna Aircraft before moving to El Dorado in March 1952.

Lucille and her late husband, Leland Seivley, who passed away in April 1991, owned Seivley's Greenhouse and Garden Center for 52 years.

Lucille and Roger Taylor were married Feb. 1, 1992. They both enjoyed traveling in the states and abroad. They spent three months each winter in Arizona and a month in the summer in the Colorado Rockies.

She was a member of the El Dorado First United Methodist Church; Lydia Circle of the Methodist Women; and W.M.B. Sr.

Survivors include: her husband, Roger Taylor; son, Larry Seivley of El Dorado; daughters, Carol Seivley of Lawrence and Cindy Wildin of Lakewood, Colo.; step-children, Tim Taylor of The Woodlands, Texas, and Janet Poorman of Houston, Texas; brother, Harold Hammer of Leon; grandchildren, Scott Seivley of El Dorado, Andrew and Alex Wilden of Lakewood, Colo.; step-grandchildren, Ryan Taylor of Prescott, Ariz.; Lauren Poorman of Houston, Texas; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials in her memory for the First United Methodist Church of El Dorado or to Multiple Sclerosis Association may be left with Carlson Funeral Home where friends may call. Friends may send condolences to www.carlsoncolonial.com.
