Mrs. Sallie Etta Burns, 91, of the Bodenham community died Wednesday, November 17, 1982 at her home. Funeral services were held at 1 p. m. Friday, Nov. 19 at Bennett-May Chapel with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, the Rev. Jacob Gardner of Brentwood officiating.
A native of Giles County, she was the daughter of the late William Joseph and Belle Cheatham Hamlett, and widow of the late Walter L. Burns.
She is survived by a son, Edward Burns, Pulaski; two sisters, Mrs. Odell Ball, Pulaski, and Mrs. Martha Cole, Athens, Ala.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Burns was a life-long member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
