Mrs. Emma Lee Bailey, 94, died April 16, 1988 at the Douglas Nursing Home in Milan, Tenn.
Daughter of the late Thomas and Nora Anderson Hamlett, she was born July 13, 1893 at Luray, Tenn.
Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker. A former resident of the Micola, Mo. community, she later moved to Bertrand, Mo., where she was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to John Elisha Bailey February 27, 1914. He preceded her in death in 1932.
She leaves two sons: James Earl "Buddy" Bailey of Statesboro, Ga. and Willie C. Bailey of Milan; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Helen Hampton of Kennett, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 18, 1988, at 2:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele, Mo. with Rev. A.C. Gardner of Kennett officiating. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with John W. German Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Bowen Travis, Arthur Alford, John Alford, George Hampton, Doug Bailey, Steve Bailey, and Doug Bailey, Jr.
