Paul Hamilton, Aug. 12, 1919 - Oct. 5, 2011, resident of Belmont, passed away at Sterling Court retirement home in San Mateo, California of lung cancer on Wednesday, October 5. He was 92. Paul was born in Aurora, Illinois on August 12, 1919 the son of Martha and "Gus" Hamilton. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served with distinction overseas in Africa and Italy. One of his commanding generals was General George S. Patton. After the war, Paul married Kaye Doehring who he met at Illinois Bell and she predeceased him. He then went to work at Lyon Metal Products where he worked for many years. His last job was as sales manager in the San Francisco area. After retirement he remained in the bay area and lived in Belmont, California. Paul was one of nine children and is survived by his sister Naomi Hamilton Fauth who is 93 and lives at Jennings Terrace and numerous nieces and nephews including Robert Fauth, James Fauth, Donna Jean Hamilton Womack, Martha Hamilton Grunwald, Judy Hamilton Conditt, Joanne Hamilton Russell, Edward Hamilton, Kathy Currens Finch, Tom Currens, Janet Currens Franklin. A private service for the family will be at Jennings Terrace on Friday, October 28th at 4 p.m. a visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 28th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Healy Chapel , 332 West Downer, Aurora, Illinois 60506, 630-897-9291.
