Funeral services for Raymond W. Hamilton, 70, of Elgin were conducted Saturday afternoon in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home in Austin with the Rev. Thomas L. Loftin officiating. Interment followed in Austin Memorial Park in Austin.
Mr. Hamilton died March 9 in Seton Hospital in Austin.
He was retired from the U.S. Postal service after having served for 30 years in Austin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of First Methodist Church of Elgin. Mr. Hamilton had resided on his ranch near Elgin for the past 21 years.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Reagan Hamilton of Elgin; a son, Ronny L. Hamilton of Elgin; a daughter, Jo Elaine Bristow of Arlington; a stepson, James Reagan of Athens, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Brookie Wilder of Austin; his brother, Morris Hamilton of Dallas; his sisters, Bernice Archer of Georgetown and Marguerite Galbreath of Texas City; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
