ALTA HAMILL
Alta passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at a local hospital. She was born May 30, 1925 to John & Iva Duggan in Glenwood, Arkansas. In 1945 she moved to California and raised her family in the Orland/Chico area.
Twenty years ago she moved back to Arkansas to care for her mother and six years ago returned to Orland/Chico area to be near family. Alta enjoyed quilting and made them for all of her grandchildren and many of her friends. She also taught and took her grandchildren fishing and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by two children; Roy Cogburn and Dortha (George) Wieck, grandchildren; Brian & Judy Wieck, Gillian & Billy Delevega, Nicole Wieck, Robert & Michelle Burnett, Ron & Lisa Burnett and Rhonda Burnett, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. A daughter Debbie Burnett preceded her.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Eagles Hall.
Those who wish may make donations to the Eagles or a charity of your choice, in care of the funeral home.
