Funeral services for Mrs. William Binger, 75, who passed away Tuesday, October 11 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Lundberg, in Minneapolis following a lingering illness, were held Friday afternoon, October 14 in the Methodist church, Nerstrand with the Rev. Everett Hall officiating. Interment was in the Methodist cemetery, Nerstrand. Harold Russell of Cambridge sang three solo selections at the service accompanied by Mrs. Luella Kispert. Mrs. William Binger, the former Wilhelmina Rebekah Hamann was born October 20, 1873 in Ottendorf, Germany. She was confirmed in the Lutheran church in Germany. She came to this country in 1888 with her parents who settled in Owatonna. She was employed in Northfield and in 1895 she was married in Northfield to John Mattson who passed away in 1906. On January 6, 1909 she married William Binger in the Moravian church in Northfield. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Isanti county where Mr. Binger engaged in farming. To this union, three daughters and one son were born. Mr. and Mrs. Binger took an active part in the community in which they lived, participating in church and other community activities.MOVED TO NERSTRAND In 1945 they sold their farm and came to make their home with one of their daughters, Mrs. John Kispert, Jr. of Nerstrand. Mr. Binger passed away on June 11, 1947. Mrs. Binger has been in poor health for the past two years and in August of this year was a patient at the Lutheran Deaconness hospital in Minneapolis for several weeks. She resided with another one of her daughters in Minneapolis until the time of her death. The deceased is survived by three daughter, Mrs. John Kispert (Mary), Nerstrand, Mrs. Frank Lundberg (Mable), Minneapolis, Mrs. Russell West, Isanti; one son, William, Jr., a step-son, Herman Binger, Nerstrand; and a brother, William Hammann, Cohasset. FROM AWAY Those from out-of-town who attended the funeral services included: Mrs. Victor Becklin, Mr. and Mrs. William Binger and family of Cambridge; Mr. and Mrs. Russell West and family of Isanti; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lundberg and family of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Dominick Moravec and daughter, Delores, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Volle, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hammann, Mrs. Carl Abbe, Mrs. E. A. Gartman, Miss Doretta Hammann all of Owatonna. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Schuldt of Meriden; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schlobohm, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Meyer and Darlene, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hannab, Mrs. Steve Benjamin, Mrs. Clarence Forman and children, all of Faribault; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hammann of Dodge Center; Mr. and Mrs. Myron Clark of Stewartville; Mrs. Harold Hanson and Mrs. August Lundberg of Minneapolis; Mrs. Manfred Johnson of Isanti; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Johnson of North Branch.
