Beatrice Elizabeth (Halter) Abercrombie, 81, of Vineland went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 22, 2009, in South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center.

Beatrice was born in Bridgeton to the late David A. and Greta M. (Hannah) Halter and was a Vineland resident for most of her life. Prior to retirement, she was a waitress for the Royal Chef and Presidential Diner in Vineland for many years. Beatrice enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, gardening and sharing time with her family.

Beatrice was the beloved mother of Melodie B. Mottola and husband Ralph of Newfield, Lissa J. Cavoli and husband Randy of Pittsgrove, Carla A. Colunga and husband Eddie of Northeast Philadelphia, Cecilie M. Crescenzo and husband Daniel of Vineland, and Stonie W. Abercrombie of Vineland; and cherished grandmother of seven, Melissa Bianchi (Robert) of Sewell, Patrick Kilkenny of Vineland, Ralph Mottola Jr. of Malaga, James Kilkenny of Logan, Ohio, Brandon Diaz of Vineland, Nicholas Cavoli of Pittsgrove and Shana Moore of Northeast Philadelphia. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Aniah, Caden and Rowan; four sisters, Irena Halter of Vineland, Marion Shipley of Elmer, Jeanette Halter of Minotola and Martha Horton (Moe) of Folley Beach, S.C.; and one brother, Carlton Halter of Woodstown.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave., Vineland.

Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery in Woodstown.

Viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
