Charles Leslie Halstead, 64, a pharmacist, of 126 Shelton Avenue, Fox Hall, died in Charlottesville yesterday at 9:30 a.m. after an illness of two weeks.
He was a native of Camden County, N.C. and had lived in Norfolk for the last 47 years.
He was the son of the late Lemuel H. Halstead and Mrs. Laura Virginia Lamb Halstead. He was a member of the Ferebee-Halstead Memorial Methodist Church and its board of stewards. He belonged to Corinthian Lodge No. 266, A.F. and A.M.; Grice Commandery No. 16, Knights Templar; the Norfolk United Arch Chapter No. 1, and the Norfolk Pharmaceutical Association.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at the Ferebee-Halstead Methodist Church at a time to be announced. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
