MRS. THOMAS F. HALLEY
Mrs. Elsie M. Halley, 76, died yesterday at her home, 262 Mercer St., Phillipsburg. Dr. Herman Smith, deputy Warren County physician, said death was attributed to a heart attack.
Mrs. Halley's husband, Thomas F. Halley, former Phillipsburg police chief, died in 1948.
Born in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Amzi and Amanda Searfoss Willever.
She was of the Lutheran faith and a life member of the Jersey Hose Co. Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas W. and John J., both Phillipsburg; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Collins, Bound Brook, NJ; Mrs. Loretta Luke and Mrs. Ann Pheiffer, both Phillipsburg, and Mrs. Elsie Smith, Willow Grove; two brothers, Stewart Willever and Dr. Thomas Willever, and a sister, Mrs. Delia Huff, all Phillipsburg; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Doyle Funeral Home, Phillipsburg.
