HALLEY RITES ON WEDNESDAY
Retired Farmer, 67, Burritt Native, Is Summoned
Funeral services for David Halley, 67, 315 North Horsman street, retired Burritt township farmer who died at 12:15 p.m. yesterday at Rockford hospital, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian church. The Rev. W.H. Fulton, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. Friends may call at the McAllister-Julian funeral home, 304 North 5th street, from 7 to 9 o'clock tonight.
Mr. Halley was born in Burritt Feb. 10, 1875, the son of William and Elizabeth Halley, pioneer residents of the community, and farmed there until he retired and moved to Rockford 17 years ago. He married Florence McLarty Oct. 12, 1926. He was a member of First Presbyterian church.
Surviving are his widow; two brothers, Frank of Rockford and George of Burritt; two sisters, Miss Jean Halley of Rockford and Mrs. Isabel Randerson of Burritt, and several nieces and nephews.
