Mrs. Halley Dies; Native of Rockford
Services were held Wednesday morning in the Presbyterian church at Lindsay, Cal., for Mrs. Ednah Allen Halley, 68, former Rockford resident, who died Monday in the Lindsay hospital, where she had been a patient for three weeks with the Asian flu.
Mrs. Halley was born Nov. 6, 1891. She graduated from Rockford high school and taught in this area until she was married to Guy R. Halley Sept. 20, 1911.
The couple moved to California three years after their marriage. Mr. Halley died in April, 1958. Mrs. Halley spent three weeks in Rockford last summer, visiting friends and relatives and attending the 50th anniversary reunion of her high school graduating class.
Surviving are a brother, Wyatt Allen, Beloit, Wis., and a sister, Mrs. Ray Clikeman, Owen township.
