HALLEY -- George LeRoy Halley, 71, Auburn st. rd., died 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, 1957 in his home after a brief illness. Born March 31, 1886, in Burritt township, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Halley. Lived 55 years in Rockford. Married to the former Mary Ann Lowry in Maynard, Ia. Oct. 4, 1911. He farmed in the township all his life except for 16 years in Yuma, Colo. Attended Burritt schools and Brown's Business college, Rockford. Survivors include: widow; two daughters, in Burritt, Viola and Mrs. Myrtle McGuire; a son, Warren, Rockford; and two sisters, Mrs. Isabella Randerson, Burritt, and Jean A. Halley, Rockford. Four brothers predeceased him. Services at 2:30 p.m. Friday in LONG - KLONTZ FUNERAL HOME. 428 Park ave. Burial in Greenwood cemetery, Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
