COLORADO -- Evelyn Charline Abbott passed away on May 21, 2003 in Littleton, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband Hollis Leroy Abbott and a son Jerry Lee Abbott.
She is survived by a brother, Harold Ronald Hall, Hanford, California; a son, Walter A. Abbott, a daughter, Susan A. Hillan, both of Littleton, Colorado; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was born November 4, 1922 in Guymon, Oklahoma, the daughter of Everett Stanley Hall, and Mattie Pearl Allen. She moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 1934 where she grew up and attended school. She moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1941 where she met and married her husband Hollis. They resided in Roy, Utah and raised their family there until Hollis" death in 1976. She then moved to Riverdale, Utah where she resided until February of 2001; after which, she moved to Littleton to live with her daughter.
Charline was a professional chef for many years. She was then employed at Hill AFB from 1951 through 1966. She worked as an electrician on the B-52 aircraft. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she attended the Roy Third Ward for many years.
She served in the young women"s organization, as a ward librarian, and as a visiting teacher. She could always be credited with giving service to all those around her, whether it be family, friends, or neighbors. She was a wonderful example to all of those who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 30, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 South 1900 West. Family and friends may call on Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, West Jordan Cemetery.
