ISOBEL B. HALL
Mrs. Isobel Hall, 69, of 111 Branch St., Bennington, widow of Albert J. Hall, died at Putnam Memorial Hospital, Sunday morning.
Native of Sunderland, born Feb 2, 1907, to Andrew and Victoria (Perham) Barney, she received her education in North Bennington schools. The Halls were married Dec 31, 1941 in North Bennington. He died in March 1975.
Mrs. Hall, had in her earlier life been employed in factories here, the last being the Flint and Robbins Manufacturing Co.
Her family was her main interest. She also had a love for crafts and much of her time in recent years had been spent crocheting afghans and stuffed animals. She and her husband sold antiques from their home for many years but til frail health forced her to give that up about two years ago. She had sold her crafts through Retired Senior Volunteer Program shops and called at the Bennington Convalescent Center for RSVP.
She leaves two sons, Kenneth of Bedford, Mass., and John of Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Ethel Hamilton of Bennington and Barbara McCarthy of San Jose, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Nancy Clark of Endicott, N.Y.; a brother, Clarence of North Bennington; 10 grandchildren, a great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 pm at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sidney J. Lambert, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, of which she was a member officiating. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery, Bennington.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Bennington Rescue Squad.
