The Rev. Dr. Arthur R. Hall, 88, Pastor Emeritus of Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church in Bethesda, Md., died Jan. 29, 2011, in his home in Gaithersburg, Md.

He was born on April 16, 1922 in Danville to the late Arthur R. Hall, Sr. and Ada Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Janet Hall and his son-in-law, Rick Scott.

He married Ann Benson Hall. She survives. He is also survived by his children, of Janet Hall Graff (Steven) of Falls Church, Va., Laura Hall Abell (Michael) of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and Nancy Hall Berens (Thomas) of Alexandria, Va. and grandchildren, Geoffrey Graff (Shalini Low-Nam), Hannah Graff, Dylan Scott, Ethan Abell and Anne-Marie Berens.

He served in the U.S. Navy (Lt. J.G.) in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
