A.J. HALL, HEAD Of LARGE CANNING
INDUSTRY, DIES AT DEE HOSPITAL
AFTER ILLNESS OF A FEW DAYS
Albert J. Hull, prominent member of
the canning Industry and president
and general manager of the Utah
packing corporation, died today at
12:05 o'clock at the Dee hospital, following
four days illness of pneumonia.
The fatal ailment was contracted
by Mr. Hull last Friday while
he was hunting ducks at one of the local
duck clubs. He was rushed to the
hospital, but from the first stages of
his affliction his condition seemed
Mr. Hall had been prominent in Ogden
and Utah during the past two
years, since his arrival from California.
He came here to organize the
Utah Packing corporation and previous
To his work in Ogden. was a auditor
of the California Packing corporation.
During the two years In Ogden,
Mr. Hall was recognized as one of the
foremost experts In the canning industry
Under his direction as president and
general manager of the Utah Packing
corporation, five factories, formerly
the property of the Parker canning
Interests were taken over. New plants
and improvements of factories In the
vicinity, which were due to be completed
this year, were brought about
through the efforts of Mr. Hall.
Mr. Hall was a member of the executive
committee of the Osgen branch, of
Utah Associated Industries. Director
of Davis-Weber County Canal Company,
director of Utah Manufactures
Association, member of Elks, Weber
Club and Country Club.
Mr. Hall was president of the Utah
Canners Association during 1918 and
at the time of his death was a director,
of that organization. He was 42
years of age.
Mrs. Hall and two young children
Survive the deceased.
