Freddie Mae "Mama" Williams was born September 18, 1920 in Clark, Texas to Alberta Patrick and Mack Hall and died January 17, 2001 in Baytown. A longtime resident of Liberty, she had previously resided in Clark and Baytown. She was a graduate from Liberty Training High School. She was a licensed vocational nurse and worked in hospitals and healthcare centers in Liberty, Dayton, Baytown and Beaumont for more than 18 years. Her last professional duty was as staff nurse at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Dayton. Williams had been active in the Baptist faith. In her earlier years, she had been a member of the Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a member of BYPU. Later, she became a member of Mount Rose Baptist Church in Liberty, where she was an active mission sister. Survivors include her two daughters, Sheryl Robinson Haley and her husband, Eddie of Baytown and Rose Robinson of Baytown; five sons, Billy Ray Williams of Liberty, Larry Williams of Irving, Charles Williams of Liberty, David Robinson of Baytown and Stanley Robinson of Liberty; one sister, Lois King of bAytown; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
