She is survived by her sons: Dr. Wilton Earl Hall of Los Altos, California, the Reverend Dr. Laurens A. Hall and wife Bennie Hall of Houston; grandchildren, Grant Hall, Oliver Hall, Bailey Kinney, Kimberly Hall-Pace, Alicia Hall; daughter-in law, Allison Hall; son-in-laws, Benjamin Kinney and Michael Pace; great grandchildren, Billy and Daisy Hall, Kane and Trotter Kinney, and Julian Kimble-Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, her husband of 44 years, the late Wilton Earl Hall Sr.; and by her beloved daughter, Eleanor Amanda Hall; and daughter-in-law, Laura Hall.
She was a woman of manners, intelligence and forceful opinion; a lady of great courage, charity, and charm. She was devoted to the Episcopal Church, reading, golf, classical music, bridge, and cooking.
Services of celebration are to be held in Houston and in San Antonio.
In Houston, a funeral service is to be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on Monday, the 31st of January, in the Church of St. John the Divine, 2450 River Oaks Boulevard, with clergy from the parish officiating. Immediately following the service, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent Sumners Hall.
In San Antonio, a memorial service is to be conducted at one o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 1st of February, in the Sanctuary of Christ Episcopal Church, 510 Belknap Place, where the Right Reverend Wm. "Bill" Frey is to officiate. Prior to the memorial service, the family will have gathered for a private interment at Sunset Memorial Park on Austin Highway.
In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in memory of Ada Allen Hall may be directed to either the Children's Choir Ministry or to the Order of the Daughters of the King at Christ Episcopal Church, 510 Belknap Pl., San Antonio, TX, 78212; or to the same ministries at The Church of St. John the Divine, 2450 River Oaks Blvd., Houston, TX, 77019.
