JOSEPH A. HALL SR. On December 10, 2014, Mr. Joseph A. Hall Sr. went to rest for everlasting life. He was born on October 7, 1931 in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from John Bartram High School in 1950.

Joe served in the United States Army (Korean War – 1952). Joe returned home and married Louisa. From that union, God blessed them with three children. Joe was a Philadelphia Police Officer and retired as a detective in November 1977. He was a member of the National Fraternal Order of Police. Joe later relocated to McKee City, New Jersey with his family. Joe and his wife Louisa were in partnership at the Cedar Inn of EHT, NJ. He worked for the Egg Harbor Township Police Department. He served on the Atlantic County Board of Elections, the Democratic Committee, and the Senior Citizen Advisory Board. He worked at Caring, Inc.

To cherish his memory are 3 children; Gail Parker (Atlantic City NJ), Joseph A Hall, Jr. (North Dakota), and Natalie Rice (Arnold), Egg Harbor City, NJ; one sister, Mattie English (Philadelphia, PA); four sister-in-laws, Doris Hall and Sarah Hall (Philadelphia, PA), Mae Ross (Yeadon, PA) and Lenora Brinson (Charles) Casselberry, FL; four grandchildren, Stephanie Hall Young (Osten), Natalie Pierre, Nora Hall and Joseph Rice, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceding him in death; his wife the late Louisa Hall, his four brothers; William Flint Hall, Willie Joe Hall, Thomas Hall, and Marion Hall and his two sisters; Lena Copeland & Roberta English.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 11AM at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 1203 Harrison Avenue, Pleasantville, NJ, where family and friends may view from 9AM to 11AM. The interment will be held at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor, NJ. Professional services are by Serenity Funeral Home, LLC, 414 So. Main Street, Pleasantville, NJ 08232.
