Retired and a resident and native of Lukeville, he died at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 1999, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. He was 83. Visiting at Hall's Mortuary, Port Allen, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday. Visiting at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Brusly, 5 p.m. until religious services 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. James Terrance. Dismissal at 11 a.m. Friday. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by wife, Lee Esther Hall; five daughters,Shirley M. Miller, Marin City, Calif., Yvonne Spriggs, Port Allen, Lois M. Neal, Olympia, Wash., Earline Askins and Cherlyn Hall; two sons, Elton Hall Sr. and Samuel Hall Sr., both of Lukeville; two sons-in-law, Walter Neal Sr., Olympia, and Willie Spriggs,Port Allen; a daughter-in-law, Clara Hall, Lukeville; a sister-in-law, Mary C. Williams, Lukeville; two brothers-in-law, Duncan Woods, Port Allen, and Freddie Williams, San Francisco; a brother, Henry Hall Sr.; 23 grandchildren, 29!
