Betty was born in Worcester, MA, grew up in Warren, MA. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Madeline (Branagan) Haley.
She volunteered for many years in the Pine Street Inn Shelter with her husband. Betty was in the first group of ordained Eucharistic Ministers for the Diocese of Boston and served as a Eucharistic minister in the Saint Dennis Church, Westwood, MA. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Betty's family is very grateful for the kind and compassionate care from the staff and volunteers at the Royal Meganset Nursing Home.
Besides her husband Joseph, Betty is survived by her son, Jim Frew of San Francisco, CA, her daughter, Peggy Frew-Nehms and her husband of David of Middleboro, her grandchildren, Haley Nehms of Baltimore, Maryland, & Ben Nehms of Middleboro. Also her sister, Margaret Healy of Braintree. And many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Daniel Haley.
Visiting Hours will be from 2:00 – 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 13th in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Hwy. (Rote 28A) WEST FALMOUTH
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 14th in the Saint John Evangelist Church, 841 Shore Road at Barlow's Landing, Pocasset, MA.
Burial will be private in the VA National Cemetery Bourne, MA
