OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - December 28, 1948
Walter H. Hale, 62, a lifelong resident of Wabash, died Monday morning at 6:15 o'clock in the Wabash County hospital where he had been admitted at 2:40 o'clock. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage which he suffered Sunday morning. He was in the trucking business.
The decedent was born Jan. 8, 1886 in Miami county to George and Ella (Williams) Hale. He was married on Dec. 25, 1906 in St. Joe, Mich., to Golda Hays who survives. They celebrated their forty-second wedding anniversary Christmas Day.
Survivors include three sons, Jack, James and Bill Hale and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Gouvan, and Mrs. Bernice Widmeyer, all of Wabash, a brother, Roy Hale, Washington, D.C., and two sisters, Mrs. Burr Hamilton and Mrs. Fannie Selfert, both of Marion. Thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the wire Funeral home where friends may call. #Burial will be in Falls cemetery. The Eagles lodge will hold twilight services in the funeral home Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock.
