Mrs. Mary V. Halas.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary V. Halas, who died suddenly of a heart attack Sunday, will be held at 9 a.m. tomorrow from the chapel at 217 North Cicero avenue to St. Mel's church. Burial will be in St. Adalbert cemetery. Mrs. Halas was 59 years old, and lived at 156 South Hamlin avenue. She was the wife of Frank Halas, traveling secretary of the Chicago Bears professional football team. Mrs. Halas was active in the affairs of the National Federation of Women's auxiliaries, of the Postoffice Clerks' union, and in the Chicago auxiliary of the union. She founded both the local and national auxiliary organizations years ago. She leaves her husband and a daughter, Mary Barbara.
