Ethel Sanders Fail, 83, of Olar, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at University Hospital in Augusta.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Olar First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Floyd Dukes and the Rev. Phillip Wade officiating. Burial will be in George's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Fail was born in Barnwell County, the daughter of the late Lonnie and Mary Black Hair. She was first married to the late Manning Sanders and then to the late Woodrow Fail. She was a homemaker and a member of Olar First Baptist Church. She was predeceased by a son, Willie Autrey Sanders, and a sister, Mildred Baltzegar.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Jimmy Maximiek of Barnwell and Sheila and Bob Sterrett of Orangeburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Francis and Terri Sanders of Blackville; a sister, Gladys Hair of Ridgeland; grandchildren, Blake Sanders, Vanessa Sturkie, Bart Thomas, Chris Thomas, Brian Maximiek, Taska Burbage; and greatgrandchildren, Colby Thomas, Britten and Logan Sturkie, Emma Grace Maximiek and Nicholas Burbage.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mole Funeral Home, Barnwell.
