Ardis Helen Brown Haines passed away at the Washoe Medical Center at the age of 73. She was born to Cecil R. and Gladys Peck Brown. Ardis had lived in Reno for the past 23 years, coming from Las Vegas. She graduated from the Tonopah High School. She had worked for the First National Bank in Tonopah and Reno. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and Presbyterian Community Church, both of Tonopah and the Sagehens of Reno. She is survived by her husband, M. M. "Tommy" and daughter, Carol Johnson, both of Reno; sister, Ruth Roberts of Tonopah; two granddaughters, five great-granddaughters and one aunt.
