Funeral services were Wednesday for a life-long resident of the Plano vicinity, Charles Haines. He died at St. Joseph hospital following a six weeks illness.
Haines, 92, was the son of Alex and Eliza Hudson Haines. He operated a grocery and general merchandise story in Plano 41 years.
John Walter Haines, a resident of the Golden Age Manor in Centerville, and several nieces and nephews survive. Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers, and two sisters.
Haines was a member of the IOOF and attended the Baptist church.
