Who knows how near my end going the time, her death comes. Oh, how swift and nimble may come my agony. At these words of the poet we remember where we were when we heard the news of the sudden death of Mrs. Alvine Andre. Last Saturday, she was operated upon for gall and kidney stones at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
The deceased was born on Jan 16, 1847 in Pomerania Germany, was married with Herman Andre in 1870. He preceded her in death 3 years ago. Three years later she moved to America and first settled in Iron Ridge, Dodge Co., from where they moved to Fond du Lac and later to Mannville.
In 1882 they came to the Town of Unity, where they settled down on a farm which they farmed until 1911 when they moved to Spencer, the olden days there to spend alone.
When the husband died three years ago, Mrs. Andre moved to Marshfield where she made her home until her death with her daughter, Mrs. W. H. Schwartz. The funeral took place last Tuesday in Spencer. Rev. Karl Schmidt officiated at the home of W. H. Schwartz, Marshfield, and directed the corpse of God service in the local Lutheran Church, and also officiated at the graveside.
Numerous proved His faith and enjoyed family and friends of the departed to prove their last respects to the mortal remains escorted to the last resting place.
The survivors are the sons Carl, Otto and Robert Andre and the daughters Bertha Schwarz and Amanda Seefeldt.
So sleep in the quiet place you, we loved so much, oh taken much too soon from us has deeply saddened us to separate, but it was in the Supreme plan, what God does is well done.
