Carol J. Davis, 54, of Champaign died at 9:55 a.m. Monday at Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. Funeral services will be Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Champaign; the Rev. Edward Schneider will officiate; burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.
Mrs. Davis was born 10-6-1942, at Chicago, a daughter of William F. and Lorene E. Stroh Hahn. She married Ronald L. Davis on 12-8-1960 at Gibson City; he survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Jennifer J. Davis of Lisle; a son, Jason C. Davis of Alexandria, VA.; and a sister, Gail F. Hutchcraft of Gibson City. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Davis was a hairdresser and owner of Colony Hair Styles in Champaign. She was a member of the Danville Affiliate and National Hairdressers Association, and past officer of Champaign Hairdressers Association.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, past president of Windsor Park Home Owners Association, member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and longtime member of the choir at the church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed all music.
** My sister, Carol suffered a sudden (fatal) heart attack at their home in Champaign. She was a long-time resident of and 1960 graduate of Gibson City High School. In Gibson City, she first apprenticed and later worked for Naomi Williams Beauty Shop; Carol and Ron moved to and lived in Champaign after their marriage.
