Annie Ruth Hagood Cash was born on August 27, 1911 to Mary Emily Juhan Hagood and her husband, Jasper Louis Hagood, Sr., and died on November 5, l994. She was married in l933 to Thomas Elry Cash, Sr. (l911-1953)son of Thursa Ann Cain Cash and Preston Delaperrier Cash. Annie Cash's husband was a school principal and Baptist minister. At the time of his death, he was pastor of Carl Baptist Church and principal of Sunny Hill School. They had three children, Katherine (Emerson), Helen, and Thomas Elry, Cash, Jr. (1946-1987). After Rev. Cash died in l953 of a heart attack, she took a job as assistant lunchroom manager at Lawrenceville High School. She lived for many years after her husband died, and in l994 was survived by her two daughters, her son-in-law, James Emerson, Jr, and her daughter-in-law, Nannette Payne Cash. She was also survived by three grandchildren, Heidi Nannette Cash, Stephen Oliver Emerson, and Letha Ann Emerson McCart and three great-grandchildren, Stephen Oliver Emerson, Jr., Thomas Paul McCart, Jr., and William Nicholas McCart. Her sister Mary Hagood Tanner and her brother, Benjamin Oliver Hagood also survived. Annie Hagood Cash is buried in Shadowlawn Cemetery, Lawrenceville, Georgia on the Hagood-Cash lot.
